Tbio
LUZP4
Leucine zipper protein 4

Protein Summary
Description
Export adapter involved in mRNA nuclear export in cancer cells. Binds and enhances the RNA-binding activity of the nuclear RNA export factor NXF1. Can restore mRNA export function in cells compromised by loss of mRNA export adapters (PubMed:25662211). This gene encodes a leucine-zipper protein that was first defined as a cancer testis antigens. The encoded protein is an RNA binding protein that interacts with the mRNA export receptor nuclear RNA export factor 2. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
