24467666 ACSF4 (U26) is a beta-alanine activating enzyme homologous to bacterial nonribosomal peptide synthetase. Experiments using the mouse protein suggest this enzyme may be involved in a rare intracellular reaction, possibly an infrequent post-translational or post-transcriptional modification.
