Tbio
ADARB2
Double-stranded RNA-specific editase B2

Protein Summary
Description
Lacks editing activity. It prevents the binding of other ADAR enzymes to targets in vitro, and decreases the efficiency of these enzymes. Capable of binding to dsRNA but also to ssRNA. This gene encodes a member of the double-stranded RNA adenosine deaminase family of RNA-editing enzymes and may play a regulatory role in RNA editing. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
