Mondo Description Severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) due to DCLRE1C deficiency is a type of SCID characterized by severe and recurrent infections, diarrhea, failure to thrive, and cell sensitivity to ionizing radiation.
Uniprot Description A variety of SCID with sensitivity to ionizing radiation. A founder mutation has been detected in Athabascan-speaking native Americans, being inherited as an autosomal recessive trait. Affected individuals exhibit clinical symptoms and defects in DNA repair comparable to those seen in RS-SCID.
