Uniprot Description A disorder characterized by hyperekplexia and early infantile epileptic encephalopathy. Neurologic features include exaggerated startle response, seizures, impaired psychomotor development, and mental retardation. Seizures can be provoked by tactile stimulation or extreme emotion.
