Mondo Description The most common congenital deformation of the foot, occurring in 1 of 1,000 live births. The most common form is talipes equinovarus, where the deformed foot is turned downward and inward sharply.
Uniprot Description A congenital limb deformity defined as fixation of the foot in cavus, adductus, varus, and equinus (i.e., inclined inwards, axially rotated outwards, and pointing downwards) with concomitant soft tissue abnormalities. Clubfoot may occur in isolation or as part of a syndrome. Some patients present tibial hemimelia, bilateral patellar hypoplasia, and preaxial mirror-image polydactyly.
Disease Ontology Description A bone development disease where one or both are inclined inwards, axially rotated outwards, and pointing downwards with concomitant soft tissue abnormalities.
